Welcome to Cornerstone Gym, operated by KS Athletics LLC. These Terms & Conditions apply to use of our website, facility, memberships, training services, classes, programs, and other services.

By purchasing services, registering for a membership, participating in training, or using our facility or services, you agree to the applicable terms presented at the time of purchase, including the terms below.

1. Use of Services

Cornerstone Gym provides boxing, fitness, strength and conditioning, sports performance, and related training services.

Members, guests, and participants are expected to use the facility and equipment responsibly, follow staff instructions and safety requirements, and comply with posted gym rules.

Participation in physical activity is voluntary and involves inherent risks.

2. Assumption of Risk

Boxing, sparring, strength training, conditioning, sports performance, and other physical activities involve inherent risks. These risks may include physical injury, illness, property damage, permanent disability, or death.

By participating in Cornerstone Gym activities, participants acknowledge and voluntarily assume the inherent risks associated with those activities.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive or limit any right or liability that cannot legally be waived or limited under applicable law.

3. Memberships & Billing

Memberships, training packages, and other services are subject to the pricing and billing terms presented at the time of purchase.

Members are responsible for maintaining a valid payment method on file and for paying all membership dues and other charges properly due under their membership agreement.

Recurring membership payments will be processed according to the billing schedule established when the membership is purchased.

Cornerstone Gym may suspend membership privileges for failed or outstanding payments until the account is brought current.

4. Adult Membership Commitment

Adult memberships require an initial commitment of six (6) months. Membership dues are billed monthly throughout the commitment period.

If an adult member chooses to cancel before completing the initial six-month commitment, an $80 early cancellation fee will be charged.

The early cancellation fee does not apply where the member has a cancellation right under applicable law or where Cornerstone Gym agrees in writing to waive the fee.

Completion of the initial six-month commitment does not eliminate the cancellation requirements described below.

5. Membership Cancellation & 30-Day Notice

All memberships require at least thirty (30) days’ notice to cancel.

A membership may be canceled using either of the following methods:

In Person: The member may submit a cancellation request in person at Cornerstone Gym.

By Email: The member may submit a cancellation request to info@cornerstoneathletic.com. The request must be sent from the email address associated with the member’s Cornerstone Gym account and must clearly include the member’s name and request to cancel.

The 30-day cancellation period begins on the date Cornerstone Gym receives a valid cancellation request through one of these methods.

Informing a coach or staff member outside of this process, stopping attendance, removing or changing a payment method, or otherwise discontinuing use of the gym does not by itself constitute cancellation.

Members are encouraged to retain their cancellation confirmation for their records.

6. Payments During the Cancellation Period

Membership dues and other charges scheduled during the required 30-day cancellation period remain due.

If a regularly scheduled membership payment falls within the 30-day cancellation period, the payment will be processed on its regularly scheduled billing date.

If a scheduled payment cannot be successfully collected, the outstanding amount remains due and must be paid before the end of the 30-day cancellation period.

Cancellation does not eliminate charges or balances that became due before the effective cancellation date.

Membership access remains active through the effective cancellation date unless access has been suspended or terminated for another reason under these Terms.

7. Refunds Following Cancellation

Membership payments are non-refundable once processed except where a refund is required by applicable law.

Submitting a cancellation request after a membership payment has already been processed does not entitle the member to a full or partial refund of that payment.

Membership dues are not prorated based on the date a cancellation request is submitted, the member’s attendance, or the member’s use of the facility.

For example, if a membership payment is processed and the member subsequently submits a cancellation request, the payment that has already been processed will not be refunded or prorated solely because the member later requested cancellation.

Any additional regularly scheduled payment falling within the required 30-day cancellation period remains due as described above.

These policies do not limit any cancellation or refund rights provided by applicable law.

8. Statutory Cancellation and Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms limits any cancellation, refund, disability, facility-closure, or other consumer right provided under applicable Maryland or federal law.

Where applicable law provides a cancellation or refund right that conflicts with these Terms, applicable law will control.

Any legally required Notice of Consumer Rights or other disclosures provided as part of a membership agreement are incorporated into that agreement and remain applicable.

9. Training Sessions, Appointments & No-Shows

Personal training sessions, private coaching, classes, and other appointments may require advance scheduling.

Late cancellations, missed appointments, and no-shows may result in forfeiture of the scheduled session or applicable fees according to the policy associated with that service.

Cornerstone Gym may cancel, reschedule, substitute coaches for, or otherwise modify classes, events, training sessions, or programming when reasonably necessary.

10. Conduct & Facility Rules

To maintain a safe and respectful training environment, members, guests, and participants are expected to:

• Treat coaches, staff, members, guests, and other participants respectfully.

• Follow staff instructions and safety requirements.

• Use equipment appropriately and responsibly.

• Maintain appropriate hygiene and attire.

• Refrain from harassment, discrimination, threatening behavior, violence outside of authorized training activities, or other disruptive conduct.

• Follow all posted facility and training rules.

Cornerstone Gym may deny access, remove a participant, suspend a membership, or terminate participation for unsafe, inappropriate, threatening, or materially disruptive behavior or for material violations of gym policies.

Termination by Cornerstone Gym does not affect any rights or obligations that cannot legally be waived or modified.

11. Medical Responsibility

Participants are responsible for determining whether they are physically and medically able to participate in training activities.

Cornerstone Gym does not provide medical advice or medical services. Participants should consult an appropriate healthcare professional before beginning strenuous physical activity when appropriate.

Participants should inform their coach of injuries, physical limitations, or other conditions relevant to their safe participation before training.

12. Liability & Inherent Risks

Participants acknowledge that physical training and combat sports involve inherent risks even when reasonable safety precautions are followed.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, participants assume the inherent risks associated with voluntarily participating in Cornerstone Gym activities.

Nothing in these Terms releases, waives, limits, or disclaims liability where doing so is prohibited by applicable law.

Any separate waiver or assumption-of-risk agreement executed by a participant will apply according to its terms and applicable law.

13. Photography & Media

Cornerstone Gym may photograph or record training sessions, classes, competitions, events, or other gym activities for promotional, educational, or marketing purposes.

Participants who do not wish to appear in promotional media should notify Cornerstone Gym staff in writing.

Any separate media release or consent requirements applicable to minors will continue to apply.

14. Intellectual Property

Cornerstone Gym names, logos, branding, graphics, website content, training materials, photographs, videos, and other original materials are owned by KS Athletics LLC or used with permission unless otherwise stated.

These materials may not be reproduced, distributed, published, or commercially used without permission.

15. Privacy & Communications

Use of our website and services is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

Cornerstone Gym does not sell personal information or mobile information to third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

Members are responsible for maintaining accurate contact information on their accounts so that Cornerstone Gym can provide membership, billing, scheduling, and other service-related communications.

16. Third-Party Services

Cornerstone Gym may use third-party platforms for membership management, scheduling, payment processing, communications, and other business functions.

Cornerstone Gym is not responsible for outages, interruptions, errors, or delays caused solely by third-party systems outside of its reasonable control.

17. Changes to Memberships, Pricing & Services

Cornerstone Gym may modify class schedules, operating hours, programming, coaches, and available services as reasonably necessary.

Cornerstone Gym may also change pricing or membership offerings prospectively.

Changes to the financial or contractual obligations of an existing membership will be handled in accordance with the applicable membership agreement and applicable law.

An update to these website Terms alone does not retroactively impose a new financial obligation on a member where affirmative agreement is otherwise required.

18. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland.

Any dispute arising from use of Cornerstone Gym’s website, facility, or services will be handled in accordance with applicable law and any applicable agreement between Cornerstone Gym and the participant.

19. Changes to These Terms

Cornerstone Gym may update these Terms & Conditions periodically.

The current version and effective date will be posted on this page. Changes will apply prospectively unless otherwise permitted by the applicable membership agreement and applicable law.

Where a change requires a member’s affirmative consent, Cornerstone Gym will obtain that consent before the change becomes binding on that member.
